How To Get Your Guests To Start Dancing At Your Reception?
As the bride and groom, you want your guests to feel excellent at your wedding – and dancing is a huge part of this. How do you get guests off their seats and unto the dance floor, though? How to encourage everyone to dance and have fun?
We have some tips to help you with this – so read on and find out more.
• Make the first step. In general, it is expected of the bride and groom to open the dance party – so choose one or two songs you and your loved one really like and have the DJ play them at the beginning of the party. This way, you and your spouse will emanate high-energy and people will flock towards the dance floor to join you.
• Remember that thorough planning is important. We suggest you to plan the first dance songs of the night right after the cake cutting, before the slices are available. This way, people will be able to spend at least 2-3 songs on the dance floor and not wait around for the cake slices to arrive – and the sweet dessert you have prepared for them will give them even more energy.
• Thinking of offering some late-snacks too? Do this approximately one hour after the cake cutting/ the beginning of the dance party. This will help you ensure your guests stay fueled throughout the entire night, so that they dance until the reception is over.
